We’ve all had those moments where we misplace something, only to realize it’s been right under our nose (or in this case, under our arm) the whole time. In this hilarious 56-second video, a man is doing some good old sweeping, but things take a turn for the funny when he “loses” his brush… except he hasn’t really lost it!

Our star is diligently sweeping, and in a moment of multitasking, he wedges the brush between his arm and body. He then starts looking for it, scratching his head, thinking through his last moves like a detective in a mystery. You can almost feel the confusion. Finally, he puts two and two together and pulls out the brush, laughing at himself. You can’t help but relate, especially if you’ve ever retraced your steps in search of something that was never missing in the first place.

This video is the perfect lighthearted addition to my latest fails compilation. After all, who doesn’t love watching everyday moments of forgetfulness turn into mini-comedy gold? This relatable fail has a spot right next to that one where someone tried to be smooth at a party and ended up slipping on spilled beer.
