In a scene straight out of a comedy sketch, a guy decided that the pavement right outside his front door was the perfect spot for a daytime snooze on a sofa. Enter stage left: a pedestrian, probably convinced they’ve stumbled into a zombie apocalypse, spots the sleeper and gets the scare of their life. They speed up, barely avoiding an oncoming car.

The driver, channeling their inner action movie star, swerves and crashes right into the sofa, missing our snoozing hero by mere inches. The startled napper awakens like a cat thrown into water, hurling a colorful array of insults at the driver.
As if on cue, four more characters join this urban drama: three men and a woman, all rushing in to make sure our almost-roadkill protagonist is in one piece. It’s a scene so absurd it could only happen in real life, reminding us all that truth is stranger—and funnier—than fiction.
